We've taken great care to provide potential Chevrolet customers near Bellevue, NE, like you with a realistic off-road experience that pushes the limits of what a Chevrolet can do all with the purpose of showing you just how capable and rugged Chevrolet vehicles are. Our test track includes moguls that display the unique independent suspension of Chevrolet models like the Silverado, Equinox and Traverse.

BED AND BOX • With more length, depth and volume in all three cargo box sizes (Short, Standard and Long) compared to the previous generation, 2019 Silverado pickup beds will help owners work and haul their gear better than ever • Deeper and wider boxes to provide at least 10 cubic feet more volume than current Ford F-150 short and long boxes • Improvements over the current generation include: better lighting (see diagram, lower right), lighter but stronger high-strength steel bed, increased width inside the box and available 400-watt outlet • Available Power Up/Down Tailgate • 12 standard tie-down rings, each rated at 500 lbs., and 9 more movable rings available MIXED MATERIALS • Silverado 1500 strengthens its winning formula, building durability and corrosion resistance into every truck body and ensuring capability where it's needed • Body structure consists of predominantly lightweight high-strength steel with aluminum hood, doors and tailgate to reduce weight compared to the current truck (see illustration, right) • Even with its bolder proportions, the all-new Silverado weighs up to 450 lbs. less than the current model1 AERODYNAMICS • Exterior design and aerodynamics blend seamlessly in the next-gen Silverado to provide a 7.5 percent improvement in Cd (drag coefficient) performance over the current generation • Highlights include air curtains on the sides of the front fascia that channel airflow through the wheel wells to help reduce pressure • Airflow arcs over the tailgate to minimize drag in highway driving INTERIOR SPACE • More headroom and shoulder room in the front seat compared to the current truck • More leg room for rear-seat passengers in the Crew Cab and better knee clearance in Double Cabs compared to the current generation • Innovative storage, such as an available rear underseat bin and rear seatback bin
